LOGAN RACING @ ELLERSLIE
With the NZ Derby only weeks away the Group 2, Auckland Eye Avondale Guineas is becoming the tradition lead up for horses targeting this Blue Ribbon event. Logan Racing will present Rising Romance in the race where she has drawn barrier 2 in this capacity 15 horse field. Regular pilot Michael Coleman takes the mount on this Ekraar 3YO filly. Stablemate, Stand Your Ground is also entered for the race but is 2nd on the ballot. This Coats Choice 3YO gelding has drawn barrier 10 and no rider has been declared yet.
However, Stand Your Ground is also nominated for the Essilor Laboratories 2100, a Rating 65 event over 2100 metres. Jockey Michael Walker will guide this Coats Choice gelding from barrier 5.
In the Group 2, Go Racing Syndications Avondale Cup, an Open Handicap over 2400 metres, Logan Racing have Mosquito entered. This Golan 5YO gelding will have the services of Michael Walker and has drawn barrier 10 in a race that prepares him for the Auckland Cup in March.
