UPDATE ON MOSQUITO, FORMER LOGAN RACING RUNNERS @ SINGAPORE

After deciding to operate, it was discovered Mosquito also had a tumour which was causing additional complications. Typically this means nothing further could be done. After deciding there was no other option remaining but to put him down, the vets went in to take a sample of the tumour for testing. Often when you remove a tumour there is massive bleeding however in this case they managed to pull the tumour out in one piece. After further consultation and discussions with Donna, a decision was made to carry on with a 8 hour operation that saw the removal of  3 metres of bowel and a grapefruit sized mass of tangled bowel.

Jenny the vet rang last night while Mosquito was recovering from the operation, he was trying to lick his feed bin with no feed in it. He will be on a drip feed for a while. Mosquito is still a very high risk patient at this stage and very much an hour by hour prospect.

Lets hope for the best , Mosquito is a real fighter.
