Race 7, the Legacy Lodge Open Handicap over 1400 metres sees the return to racing of both Uncle Shayne, 6YO gelding by Bachelor Duke - Alarmed for owners GS Racing Ltd, Mrs D M Logan & M J Mathias and Whistling Straits, also a 6YO gelding by Thorn Park - Class Mistress for owners J R Barber, P Cook, K S & R J Healy, Mrs D M Logan, P S Rust & K Smith. Both horses resume after last competing in the South Island, Uncle Shayne will be ridden by Mark Hills and has drawn barrier 5 whilst Whistling Straits will be ridden by Mark Sweeney from barrier 15.

Coats Choice - Cruella 3YO gelding, Stand Your Ground lines up in Race 9, the Kingsgate Hotel Hamilton, a Rating 65 event over 1600 metres. Mark Sweeney takes the mount from barrier 11 for owners A Bradley, D R Frampton, A M Goodwin, J E Harman & W M Woods.

Meanwhile across the Tasman, Telepathic has pulled up well after her second placing run in the Rough Habit Plate last weekend. We will see how she progresses throughout the next week before deciding on which race she will target next.
