On Saturday Rocknrolla lines up in the Chevalier Produce Benchmark 1400m Rating 75. The 4 year old mare by Towkay out of Dunness will be ridden by Sam Collett and has drawn 1. Owned by Donna Logan, Kim O'Riley, Dave and Jan Mein, Mark Treloar , Myra Langstone and Colin Thomson she has had 21 starts for 4-2-5. In her last 3 starts she has won, won again and ran 3rd at Rotorua on may 9th. She is a big chance.
Finns Halo starts in the Construct 3 year old SW and P 1600m. The 3 year old gelding by Sakhee's Secret out of Our Rosalee has drawn 8 and will be ridden by Rogan Norvall Owned by Rosemary Halse , Donna Logan and the estate of Dean Logan he has had 6 starts for 1-1-0. He is a last start winner at Matamata on May 6th and should perform really well.
On Monday Libiamo lines up in the Davey Pumps 2 year old 1200m. He is by Cecconi out of Auvation and is owned by Ashley Goodwin, GNJ and GR Lethbridge and P Woods. He has drawn 9 and is on debut after running second in a trial at Ellerslie on May 14th. Ridden by Matt Cameron , he has been working well and will hopefully be in the finish.
Rocknrolla is a chance of backing up from Saturday if she performs well. She could start in the Buteline NZ mile.
In the same race we have Thornbird Lass lining up. She is by Thorn Park out of Lyric and has drawn 10. Ridden by Vinnie Colgan , she has had 20 starts for 3-4-0 and is owned by GS Racing, B Moffat,, G Sutherland and W Woods. She won at Rotorua 2 starts ago with Vinnie riding and should be a good chance.
Huckleberry Flyer will run in the Laser Group Rating 65 Benchmark 1200m. The 4 year old gelding is by No Excuse Needed out of De Palio and has drawn 4. He will be ridden by Michael McNab and is owned by KR, MR, PR and RP Humphries has had 8 starts for 1-1-0. Will have improved off his last race and could well feature in this.
In the same race is Sea Of Speed by Any Suggestion out of Princess Valour. The 3 year old filly will be ridden by Sam Spratt and has drawn 15. Owned by Lena Ang and has had 3 starts for 1-0-0. Has been working well and will like the track.
