LOGAN RACING @ RUAKAKA, 1st AUGUST
After a record breaking season of winners, the Logan Racing team will produce a brace of starters at 'Where The Turf meets the Surf'. Preceding events will be two trials featuring a host of Group performing runners including Logan Racing's very own Volkstok'n'barrell.
In Race 2, The Northern Advocate R85 1200 metres, In Flight will attempt his 5th win on end. This Fully Fledged - Gypsy Rose 5YO gelding is owned by MG Dunn, JA Gibbs MNZM, R Thorley and EM Tynan, he has drawn barrier 2 and Vinnie Colgan will take the mount.
In Race 3, the Majestic Horse Transport R75 1400 metres, both Big Voices and Stand Your Ground will face the starter. Big Voices, by Duke of Marmalade - Good Faith 5YO mare is owned by Mark Treloar and Rising Star Syndicate. She has drawn barrier 8 and Sam Spratt will pilot. Stand Your Ground is a 5YO Coats Choice - Cruella gelding who is owned by A Bradley, DR Frampton, AM Goodwin, JE Harman and the estate of the late WM Woods. Apprentice Anna Jones claims 2kgs from barrier 7.
In Race 4, the Lion Red Maiden 1600 metres, will feature another two pronged attack for Logan Racing with Super Ready and Up On The Roof. Super Ready is a 4YO Perfectly Ready - Commonplace gelding owned by Lena Ang. He will be ridden by Sam Spratt from the ace barrier. Up On The Roof is a 4YO Patapan - Paulamaroof gelding owned by the estate of the late WM Woods. He will be ridden Cameron Lammas from barrier 11.
A quartet of Logan Racing runners will line up in the Rockgas North R85 2100 metres, Uncle Shayne, Kendoka, Radar and Zafrenzy. Uncle Shayne is a 8YO Bachelor Duke - Alarmed gelding owned by GS Racing Ltd, Mrs DM Logan and MJ Mathias. He will be ridden by apprentice Jordan Robinson from barrier 6. Kendoka is a 6 YO reset - Kwan mare owned by Sir Peter Vela. She will be ridden by Vinnie Colgan from barrier 9. Radar is a 7YO Spartacus - Irish Temple gelding owned by GJ Cossey, M Darroch, W Hill and Mrs DM Logan. He will be ridden by Trudy Thornton from barrier 5. Finally, Zafrenzy is a 5YO Savabeel - Ihi Frenzy mare owned by Mrs C, MC, MK, TP Dravitzki, Mrs KM Megchelse, L and T Vincent. She has drawn barrier 2 and Sam Spratt will pilot.
Three horses from the Logan Racing team will line up in the Bream Bay Design & Print R65 2100 metres. Royal Sceptre, Bill Breaker and Caduceus. Royal Sceptre is a 7YO Royal Gem - Quality Lodge gelding who is owned WN Dollimore and CR McCarroll. Apprentice Anna Jones takes the mount and claims 2kgs from 7. Bill Breaker is a 6YO Handsome Ransom - Daniero gelding who is owned by HT O'Leary. He has drawn barrier 11 and will be ridden by Sam Spratt. Caduceus is a 4YO Lucky Unicorn - French Lion gelding who is owned by ML Angie, D and J Brescacin. He has drawn barrier 2 and Trudy Thornton will ride.
In the final event, the Cowley's Hire Centre R65 1400 metres both Huckleberry Flyer and Seed of Speed lined up. Hucklebury Flyer is a No Excuse Needed - De Palio gelding owned by Eveline Faulkner Ltd. Cameron Lammas will ride this 5YO gelding from barrier 4. Sea of Speed is a 4YO Any Suggestion - Princess Valour mare owned by Lena Ang. Vinnie Colgan will ride from barrier 3.
