3 STARTERS AT AVONDALE FOR LOGAN RACING STABLES ON WEDNESDAY 17TH AUGUST

Race 5 Functions at Pins 1400m Maiden sees Mongolian Sky start from barrier 5. The 3 year old Cape Blanco colt is owned by Inner Mongolia Rider Horse Group and will be ridden by Leith Innes. He won a trial at Ellerslie on 5th July and is on debut. Will appreciate a cut in the track and will hopefully be hard to beat. The rail will be in the true position giving 5 m of new ground.

Race 6 NZB Insurance Pearl Series Race Maiden F+M 1400m sees Laetitia start from barrier 7. The 4 year old mare is owned by Ross Gwyn, JR Collinson, Haunui Bloodstock Ltd, C Feneridisi, MJ Longstaff and MG Armstrong and will be ridden by Samantha Collett.  3 starts for 0-0-0 and a last start 6th at Ruakaka on 23rd July. Third up and near peak fitness  in a big field that is not that strong. 1400m will suit and with even luck could get some of this.

Race 7 Ego @ Haunui Farm 1400m sees I'veracedfifty  start from barrier 7. The 4 year old Fully Fledged gelding is owned by AJ Sutherland, MP Stiassny, Donna Logan, and BJ Gibson and will be ridden by Samantha Collett. Last start winner at Avondale on 29th July.  This is a stronger field and he will need to get cover for one last crack at them.
