LOGAN RACING STABLES HAVE A BIG TEAM LINING UP AT RUAKAKA ON WEDNESDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER
Race 1 the Ruakaka Racing Thanks The Volunteers Maiden 3 year old 1200m sees Romancer ridden by Vinnie Colgan from barrier 9. The 3 year old Redwood is owned by OTI Management Pty Ltd, Stirling Bloodstock Ltd, A Gibbs, J Gibbs, D Logan , D and K Milliken and Mrs L Warwick. Won a trial over 1000m at Avondale. This horse seems well above average and we wouldn't be surprised to see him win with style on debut.
Race 2 the Fell Engineering Maiden 1200m sees Highway To Heaven ridden by Vinnie Colgan from barrier 1. The 3 year old Echoes Of Heaven colt is owned by Mrs HF and PJ Crofskey, VS Cronin, F Gianone, PD and PD Jeffrey, D Logan, Mrs PA McIntyre, AB Skelton, and Stirling Bloodstock Ltd. On debut and working well enough to get some of this.
Race 3 the United Security Northland Maiden 3 year old 1200m sees Marquess Of ridden by Kelly McCulloch from barrier 3. The 3 year old Tavistock gelding is owned by Donna Logan, Peter Woods, Ashley Goodwin, Chris Gibbs and Ivy Pearson. Had one start way back on November 21st in a listed race. Has matured nicely and should get some of this.
Race 4 the Afare Caterers Rating 75 Benchmark 75 2100m sees Segenhoe ridden by Vinnie Colgan from barrier 3. The 5 year old Ekraar gelding is owned by Est late NA Mortimer, Jan and Cindy Mortimer. Has had 14 starts for 1-1-0 and is due to come back into form.
Race 5 the Northgate Lodge Maiden 2100m sees Beaufighter ridden by Matt Cameron from barrier 13. The 4 year old Mastercraftsman gelding is owned by A Goodwin, I Keats, D Logan, A McKendary, P Moore and S Scott. Has had 5 starts for 0-2-0 and ran 5th at Ruakaka on August 25th. Due to break Maiden ranks and bred to stay being out of Tin Goose.
Laetitia also starts and will be ridden by Trudy Collett from barrier 12. The 4 year old Don Eduardo mare is owned by Ross Gwyn, JR Collinson, Haunui Bloodstock Ltd, C Feneridis, MJ Longstaff and MG Armstrong. 5 starts for duck egg form , needs to show something.
Race 6 the Lion Red Maiden 1400m sees Floating Heart ridden by Vinny Colgan start from barrier 14. The 4 year old Encosta De Lago mare is owned by Sir Peter Vela. One start for a third on 27th August . Hopefully will improve on the last run and get some of this.
No Wahalla also starts and will be ridden by Matt Cameron from barrier16. The 3 year old Ekraar gelding is owned by Mrs HJ and PJ Crofskey, N Lawn, NB Mills, S Moon, DJ Newland, and C Roberts. Has had 1 start for 4th on 27th August in the same race as Floating Heart. Should show enough improvement to get some of this.
Race 7 the Northland Toyota Rating 85 Benchmark 1400m sees Taken The Liberty backs up from Saturday ridden by Sam Weatherley from barrier 6. The 5 year old O'Reilly gelding is owned by GW and MW Simon, A Clark and M Scanlon. 20 starts for 3-3-3 and ran 7th on a heavy track at Auckland last Saturday after winning at Ruakaka on 27th August. Hopefully he can repeat his Ruakaka form .
Race 8 the Northland Business Systems 1600m Maiden sees Sky Full Of Stars start from barrier 12 ridden by Mark Du Plessis. The 5 year old Henny Hughes gelding is owned by G Lui. Has had 14 starts for no placings and we are hoping for improvement here.
Comin'through also starts and will be ridden by Matt Cameron from barrier 1. T.he 3 year old Bullbars gelding is owned by GM Forbes, A Goodwin, J Hughes, W Lissington, D Logan and I Pearson . 2 starts for 2 thirds . A solid finish at Ruakaka on 14th September and should get some of this.
Mongolian Sky also starts and will be ridden by Leith Innes from barrier 8. The 3 year old Cape Blanco colt is owned by Inner Mongolia Rider Horse Industry (NZ) Ltd. Finished 4th at Avondale on August 17th on a Slow 9 track. This track should suit more and could be hard to beat.
El Fortuna also starts and will be ridden by Trudy Thornton from barrier 2. The 3 year old Castledale colt is owned by Donna Logan and Karen Sprague. On debut after a 4th at the Avondale trials on a Heavy 10 track. Working well but hard to get a line on him.
Race 9 the See You Again Tuesday 6th January Rating 65 Benchmark sees I'veracedfifty start from barrier 5. The 5 year old Fully Fledged gelding is owned by AJ Sutherland, MP Stiassny, D Logan and BJ Gibson. 8 starts for 1-0-0. Needs to improve.
Toorak Tower also starts and will be ridden by Vinnie Colgan from barrier 1. The 3 year old Toorak Toff gelding is owned by Ferndale Farm Pty Ltd, D Logan and Rosemont Stud Pty Ltd. Has had 2 starts for 1-0-0. Last start win at Ruakaka on September 10th and very hard to beat here.
