WEEKEND RACING AT ELLERSLIE

We line up three runners this weekend at Ellerslie on Saturday, starting with Dragon Storm in Race 1.  The gelding by Shocking has taken a couple of runs this prep, we are hoping he can get back in form tomorrow with the track currently rated a Dead 5.  Race 5 the Trevor Eagle Memorial 3yo Listed Race, the stable is represented by Annie's Song and last start winner Kaareraway.  Being by the inform Sire, Darci Brahma, Annie's Song ran a huge race last start in the Soliloquy Stakes from a wide barrier to finish 5th.  Again she has drawn wide but we are hoping for a bit of luck and hitting the line strong.   The Makfi filly, Kaareraway, won at Ruakaka earlier in the month, she is a filly who will appreciate the extra distance and has a good barrier draw.  She should be able to get in a nice position and would like to see her hitting the line strongly also.
