LOGAN RACING LOSES A LEGEND WITH THE PASSING OF JOHN DEVLIN
It is with the deepest sadness that Logan Racing announces the loss of one of its most loyal and most dedicated clients in John Devlin. Affectionately known as JD, he was a legend to the Logan Racing team who will never ever be replaced. Logan Racing will be lesser for his loss but only stronger for having being able to share the life in this wonderful, larger than life character whose passion and dedication for his horses was only matched by his pride and fulfilment in his family.
He was a syndicate manager, the most organised person you could ever meet and if he wasn’t a grumpy old sh*t there was something wrong, even when his horses won he still moaned because he didn’t have a big enough bet on!
To JD’s family we are truly sorry for your loss, and we offer you our utmost condolences. Losing someone close to you is one of the hardest and most incredibly devastating things in life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brad and Aimee, Martine, Olivia and Braydee, Shane and Mel, Hannah, Josh and Taine, Kylie and Mike, Jake and Holly. Our special thoughts go out to Shane, Mel, Hannah and Josh for the care they gave JD in his final weeks.
JD has left a very big hole to fill in all codes of racing both here and overseas. He was a true friend that will be very, very sadly missed by Donna, Peter, Robert, Samantha, Grace, Jane, Dean, Diane and everyone at Logan Racing.
During this time and as a mark of respect the entire Logan Racing team will wear black armbands on Wednesday at Riccarton.
