Ishimine continues her South Island odyssey when she competes in one of the features races this weekend at Riccarton Park where the Canterbury Racing - Hororata club hosts. This 5YO Ishiguru mare will line up in the Valachi Down South Island Breeders Stakes, a Fillies and Mares event over 1600 metres. She will be ridden by Samantha Collett and has drawn barrier 3 in this Listed race.

In last month's February Newsletter view here we talked about previous Logan Racing race horses and their life after racing. Another example of this has come to the fore with Drakkar, by Viking Ruler out of Irish Temple, who is competing at this weekend's New Zealand Horse of the Year show at Hastings with none other than Olympic equestrian hero Mark Todd riding. Drakkar, the now 8YO, had 10 starts for Logan Racing for a win and  a couple of minor placings. For more information:
