LOGAN RACING RUNNERS @ TAURANGA, SYDNEY and ELLERSLIE

It's Autumn Carnival Raceday at Tauranga this Saturday and Logan Racing starts the day when Handsome Mates competes in the Bayleys Country 1600 metres, a Rating 85 event. Jockey Mark Hills will ride this 7YO Handsome Ransom - Kimberley Rose gelding for owners P D Collins, J B Hart, R J W Seton & D H Wale where he has drawn barrier 9.

Ngatira Gold, takes his place in the Tauranga Hardware and Plumbing, a Rating 65 event over 1400 metres. Mark Sweeney has been engaged to ride this 3YO Gold Centre - Desdemona gelding where he has drawn barrier 1 for owners Donna Logan, Amey Hardy, Russell Ensor, Bryce Moffat, Colin Thomson, Tim Charman & Jared Blucher.

Across the Tasman, NZ Derby runner up, Rising Romance takes her place in the ATC Australian Oaks as part of The Championship carnival. This Ekraar - Post Romance 3YO filly will be piloted by Kiwi jock James McDonald and has drawn barrier 4 in this 2400 metres event for owners J Carter, B Carter and R Powell. Reports from Sydney are that the horse is well and the team are looking forward to this prestigious Group 1 event.

The long Easter weekend will culminate with the Auckland Racing Club's Legends Day meeting on Monday at Ellerslie.   

Paco Kid kicks the day off for Logan Racing when he competes in the Legends Fellowship, a maiden event over 2100 metres. This 5YO Hawkeye - Petal on Point gelding, has drawn barrier 9 and will be ridden Danielle Johnson for owners S K Olsen, N R & Mrs P J Sinclair.

Thornbird Lass takes her place in the DA Peake Plate maiden 1400 metres, this Thorn Park - Lyric 3YO filly has drawn barrier 4 and Danielle Johnson has been engaged to ride for owners GS Racing Ltd, B G Moffat, G Sutherland & W M Woods.

Big Voices will be presented in the TJ McKee Trophy, a 3YO event over 1400 metres, Mark Du Plessis will pilot this 3YO Duke of Marmalade - Good Faith filly from barrier 4 for owners Mark Treloar, Rising Star Syndicate (Mgr: K T Crooke) & D M Logan.

Candle In The Wind backs up from last weekend's win at Headquarters and lines up in the GL Cooksley Tankard, a Rating 75 event over 1600 metres. Regular jockey Mark Du Plessis again takes the mount from barrier 4 for owners Cloughmore Racing Partnership, GS Racing Ltd, Mrs D M Logan Ross Gwyn & B G Moffat.
