DARGAVILLE RACES ON FRIDAY 17TH APRIL

Race 1 the Williamson Spreaders 1200m Maiden. Up On The Roof drawn 7 and ridden by Matt Cameron. A 3 year old gelding by Patapan out of Paulamaroof and owned by Bill Woods. Has had 3 starts for no result. Would prefer wet ground and will need the run. Not a strong field though. The one to beat is Procrastinate , trained by  Kim O'rily.

Race 5 the McKay Electrical Rating 65 1400m. River Raider has drawn 2 and will be ridden by Zinjete Moki with a 3kg weight allowance. Owned by the estate of Dean Logan , by Storm Creek out of Straight Ace. He is a 4 year old gelding and has had 7 starts for 1 win, 1 second and 1 third. This is his first run left handed. His work has been good and with the weight advantage and with the good draw hopefully he can tuck in behind the leaders on the rail and be right in the finish.

Race 6 the Northern Wairoa Golf Club Dargaville 2000m Maiden. Montigo has drawn 12 and will be ridden by Leith Innes. Owned by Donna Logan and Ivy Pearson he is by Edenwold out of Every Cloud. The 3 year old gelding has had 3 starts for no result. He has been disappointing but has worked well over the last 2 weeks. This is not a strong field so he needs to show something. 

Race 8 the Polworth Design Maiden 1400m . Super Easy has drawn 1 and will be ridden by Matt Cameron. The 3 year old gelding is owned by Lena Ang . He is by Perfectly Ready out of Commonplace. This will be his second start. He has been working well and has a good draw and jockey. Fingers crossed for a good result.   Finns Halo has drawn 4 and will be ridden by Rogan Norvall. The 3 year old gelding is owned by Rosemary Halse, the estate of Dean Logan and Donna Logan. He is by Sakhees Secret out of Our Rosalee. He has had 4 starts for no result but has been working well enough to get some of this.
