RISING ROMANCE LEAVES LOGAN RACING FOR THE LAST TIME - Wednes 13th May

It was an emotional farewell to Rising Romance this morning as she boarded the Majestic Float bound for Auckland. She will fly out tonight to Victoria and will be based at David Hayes Stables.

The Ekraar - Post Romance 4 year old mare has had 18 starts for 5 wins , 6 seconds and 1 third and earned stakes of $1,008,964 . Owned by John and Victoria Carter, Brian Carter and Ross Powell. Sophie was a stable star and among her best results were her second in the 2014 NZ Derby, win in the Australian Oaks and second in the Caulfield Cup.

 The team at Logan Racing Stables are very proud of her achievements to date and very sorry to see her move to Australia but the lure of bigger stake money and quality of stallions make this common practise for our best NZ horses.. We wish the owners all the best and hope that Sophie will continue to perform well in the  upcoming Australian Feature races.
