KARAKA MILLIONS NIGHT - LOGAN RACING HAVE 4 STARTERS

Race 1 Honour Princess starts in the Azamour - European Champion 1400m  . The 3 year old Ekraar filly has drawn 9 and will be ridden by Matt Cameron. The owners of this exciting filly are Ross Powell, Brian Carter, John Carter and Linwood Park Stud Ltd. She has had 1 start for 1 win at Ruakaka on January 5th over 1200m. We expect her to be hard to beat.

Race 5 the Karaka Million 2 year old 1200m sees The Soultaker start from barrier 14 , a bit of a horror draw although the race has been won from nearly all barriers in the past. The 2 year old Iffraaj colt is owned by Graeme Lemon, Dennis Tay, George and Marryanne Simon, Ivy Pearson and Donna Logan. He will be ridden by in form jockey Opie Bosson and has had 3 starts for 1-2-0. His last start second was a great run considering he missed a bit of work when he had a temperature for a few days. He is spot on and even with the wide draw he is a serious winning chance. This is the first runner the stable has ever had in this race so hopefully we can get the perfect 1 from 1 result.

Race 6 the Hallmark Stud Mile Special Conditions sees Valley Girl start from barrier 7. The 3 year old Mastercraftsman filly  will be ridden by Danielle Johnson. She is owned by D, L and S Hawkins and Llanhennock Trust. She has had 4 starts for 1-0-1 , in her last start she finished 5th in the Group 2 Royal Stakes. We think she is a Derby or Oaks horse and expect her to step up here.

Cambridge also starts in the Hallmark Stud Mile and will be ridden by Matt Cameron from barrier 4. The 3 year old Tavistock colt is owned by NZ Thoroughbred Holdings Ltd. 2 starts for 1-1-0 with his last start being a strong win in the Trigg Construction 1400m at Ruakaka. He is a Derby chance and is a serious chance in this. A stable quinella could be on the cards. Yet another outstanding Tavistock.
