BIG DAY EXPECTED BY LOGAN RACING WITH 8 STARTERS AT RUAKAKA ON TUESDAY JANUARY 5TH

Race 2 the Cowley's Hire Centre 1000m sees Wyndspelle start from barrier 9 ridden by Kelly Myers. The 2 year old Iffraaj colt is owned by J Frew, S Hanna, Jen Campin Bloodstock Ltd, and NP Randies. He has had 1 trial that he won over 800m on December 15th. If he jumps well we  expect him to be hard to beat.

Race 3 the NZB Insurance Pearl Series 1200m sees Honour Princess  start from barrier 4 ridden by Matt Cameron. The 3 year old Ekraar filly is owned by Ross Powell, Brian Carter, John Carter and Linwood Park Stud Ltd. He won a trial on November 5th at Ellerslie and is working well enough to win this.

Picnic Bay also starts in this ridden by Mark Du Plessis. The 3 year old No Excuse Needed filly has drawn 11 and is owned by HC Bloodstock, Jason Harris, Greg Carpenter, Darren Hannay, Hassan Moorbally, Donn Barnes, Paulette Phillis and Michael Borlace. With luck from this draw she may be able to get home strongly and roll over them on the line.

Race 5 the Triggs Construction 1400m sees Mighty Mak start from barrier 16 ridden by Sam Collett. The 3 year old Makfi gelding is owned by GS Racing. He has had 1 unplaced start at Ruakaka on July 11th. We are hoping to see him come home strongly but would probably prefer wet ground.

Cambridge also starts and will be ridden by Matt Cameron. The 3 year old Tavistock colt is owned by NZ Thoroughbred Holdings Ltd and has had the 1 start at Ruakaka for a second placing on October 28th. A win here would not surprise.

Race 6 the Kamo Club 1400m sees Mongolian Machete start from barrier 4 ridden by Matt Cameron. The 3 year old Darci Brahma colt is owned by Inner Mongolia Rider Horse Industry (NZ) Ltd. He has had the 1 trial win over 935m at Cambridge on November 30th. He is a very nice horse and will take some beating.

Race 8 the The Skandel and Mawah Vellous Owners Pay Homage To Dean Logan 1600m sees Segenhoe start from barrier 5 ridden by Kelly Myers. The 4 year old Ekraar gelding is owned by Est late NA Mortimer, Jan and Cindy Mortimer . He has had 7 starts for 0-1-0 and was crowded for room in his last start at Matamata on December 16th. Has had no luck with draws but in this race he should be tough to beat.

Vicente also starts in this race and will be ridden by Matt Cameron. The 3 year old Mr Nacho colt has drawn 1 and is owned by Donna Logan, Garry Cossey, Heather and Peter Crofskey, Pam McIntyre, Ashley Goodwin, Aarron Bradley and Rod Edwards. He ran second in his only start at Ruakaka on October 28th. He will also be hard to beat and hopefully we can quinella the last race.
