Congratulations to the Hawkins family for the win of their 3 year old filly Valley Girl over a top class field of WFA gallopers including Kawi and Stolen Dance.. Lisa Allpress slotted back when the early speed came on and stormed home out wide on a giving track. She won by 0.8 lengths in a time of 2.03.74 , the last 600m in 35.81. 

Valley Girl will now head to the NZ Derby in 3 weeks.
