LOGAN RACING STABLES TRYING TO WIN A SECOND COUNTIES CUP
The last time Logan Racing Stables won the Counties Cup was in 1999 with The Mighty Finn. Candle In The Wind and Zafrenzy will represent the stable in tomorrows SsangYong Counties Cup.
Counties Saturday 19th November
Race 6 sees Greencast start from barrier 11 in the Lone Star Pukekohe Rating 75 Benchmark 1600m $30000 ridden by Samantha Collett. The 4 year old Iffraaj gelding is owned by Lena Ang and has had 8 starts for 2-1-2. He won at Ruakaka on 27th August and then ran 6th at the same venue over 2100m on 10th September. Not much wet track form but is working well enough to get some of this.

Race 7 sees Candle In The Wind start from barrier 6 in the SsangYong Counties Cup Open Open Handicap 2100m $100000 ridden by Cameron Lammas. The 7 year old Darci Brahma mare is owned by VS Cronin, F Gianone, GS Racing Ltd, IR Gwyn, K Hannan, PD and PD Jeffreys and AB Skelton. She has had 29 starts for 7-3-2 running second in the Whangarei Cup on 23rd July over 2100m and 7th in the OMF Stakes Group 3 over 2000m on November 1st. Likes a cut out of the track and a big hope here.

Zafrenzy also starts, from barrier 10 ridden by Samanth Collett. The 6 year old Savabeel mare is owned by Mrs CA , MC, MK and TP Dravitzki, Mrs KM Megchelse and LE and TM Vincent. She has had 34 starts for 4-4-5 and ran 4th in the Mitchelson Cup at Ellerslie on 24th September and 3rd in the Carbine Club Trophy 1600m on November 3rd. Working well , likes the wet and can get some of this.

Race 5 the Spraylink Weed Spraying Maiden 3 year old 1600m sees Highway To Heaven start from barrier 6 ridden by Cameron Lammas. The 3 year old Echoes Of Heaven colt is owned by HJ and PJ Crofskey, VS Cronin, F Glanone , PD and PD Jeffreys, D Logan, Mrs PA McIntyre, AB Skelton and Stirling Bloodstock Ltd. He has had 2 starts for no result. His last start was at Avondale over 1400m on 26th October. We hope to see improvement over more ground on a wet track.
