LOGAN RACING HAVE HORSES RACING AT DARGAVILLE, TAURANGA AND RICCARTON ON FRIDAY 11TH AND SATURDAY 12TH NOVEMBER

Photo attached is of great mates Miniman,  Donna and Neil Sinclair . Neil sadly died last week and will be really missed by everyone at Logan Racing. The first horse this trio raced together was Double Twirl. Dargaville Races won't be the same without seeing Neil.

Dargaville

Race 2 the Bennett and Associates Maiden 3YO 1200m sees Rockabyebaby start from barrier 3 ridden by Alysha Collett. The 3 year old Rip Van Winkle filly is owned by Whakanui Stud Ltd and is on debut. Waiting to see what the track conditions will be and is working well enough to feature here !

Race 3 the Carrfields Selwyn Rodges Memorial Maiden 1400m sees Comin'through start from barrier 14 ridden by Sam Collett. The 3 year old Bullbars gelding is owned by G Forbes, A Goodwin, J Hughes, W Lissington, D Logan and I Pearson. He has had 3 starts for 0-0-2 and ran 7th at Ruakaka on 28th September after over racing. Lets hope for a nice run but drawn wide. El Famoso start from barrier 6 ridden by Matt Cameron. The 5 year old Fast N Famous mare is on debut and owned by D Logan and K Sprague. Fingers crossed.

Race 6 the Nauman Insurance Brokers Northland Cup Rating 85 Benchmark 1800m $20000 sees Greencast line up from barrier 5 ridden by Sam Collett. The 4 year old Iffraaj gelding is owned by Lena Ang and has had 8 starts for 2-1-2. He won at Ruakaka on 27th August over 2100m and then ran 6th at Ruakaka on 10th September over the same distance. Quintessentially , who has won at Dargaville before , will be hard to beat. So will Greencast !

Race 8 the First National Real Estate Craig Clement Maiden 1200m sees I See Red start from barrier 8. The 3 year old Redwood filly is owned by R Bilkey and RL Mead and is on debut. Won a 1000m trial at Ruakaka on 4th October. Drawn out a bit but working well and should get some of this.

Riccarton

The Gavelhouse.com 44th NZ 1000 Guineas 3YO Fillies SW 1600m $300000 sees Astara start from barrier 4 ridden by Samantha Collett. The 3 year old Dalghar filly is owned by Neven Botica and has had 7 starts for 3-1-0. She won her last start the Dunstan Feeds Soliloquy Stakes over 1400m on 22nd October and won the Champagne Stakes at Ellerslie over a mile in a NZ record time. This is a great field of Fillies including La Diosa and Glass Slipper. Astara's  work has been outstanding and she will be very hard to beat.

Race 5 the Dominator Garage Doors Tauranga 1200m Rating 85 Benchmark 1200m $25000 sees In Flight start from barrier 12 ridden by Brendan Hutton. The 6 year old Fully Fledged gelding is owned by MG Dunn, JA Gibbs, RT Thornley, and EM Tynan. He has had 18 starts for 5-3-1 and ran 6th in his last start on 27th August.  If too much rain comes he may not start

Race 6 the Preston Rowe Paterson Property Valuers Tauranga Stakes WFA 1600m $100000 sees Volkstok'n'barrel start from barrier 9 ridden by Matt Cameron. The 5 year old Tavistock gelding needs no introduction and is owned by A Goodwin, Rosemont Stud Pty Ltd, G Cossey, A Gibbs, JA Gibbs, CW Gibbs and D Logan. He has had 22 starts for 8-1-4. He will probably need the run but is a class animal. Probably heading to Wellington next start.

Punters - Place multi , Rockabyebaby- Greencast - I See Red - Astara - Volkstok'n'barrel          $100 for $8k  watch the rain though
