MONGOLIAN FALCON, WYNDSPELLE AND TOORAK TOWER HEAD TO TE RAPA ON MONDAY 24TH OCTOBER

Race 7 the James and Annie Sarten Memorial Stakes 3YO SW 1400m $100000 sees Mongolian Falcon start from barrier 2 ridden by Leith Innes. The 3 year old Fastnet Rock colt is owned by Inner Mongolia Rider Horse Industry (NZ) Ltd. He has had 7 starts for 3-1-2 and won by 5.5 lengths in his last start , the Group 2 Sacred Falls Hawke's Bay Guineas. He will be very hard to beat.

Wyndspelle also starts and will jump from barrier 15 ridden by Vinnie Colgan. The 3 year old Iffraaj colt is owned by J Frew, S Hanna, Jen Campin Bloodstock Ltd, and NP Randles. He has had 7 starts for 1-2-2 and ran 5th in the Sacred Falls Hawke's Bay Guineas after over racing. He won at Te Rapa as a 2 year old in impressive fashion after missing the kick beating horses like O'Rachael,  Showpin, Shenandoah and Savasava . Shame about the draw but he will come in with the scratchings. This is a very good colt that loves the track , will appreciate the better track conditions and has been working real good. Don't under estimate Wyndspelle, he will be hard to beat as well. Let's hope for a quinella.

Race 8 the Diamond Lodge draft at Karaka 16th and 17th November Rating 65 Benchmark 1600m sees Toorak Tower start from barrier 14 ridden by Vinnie Colgan. The 3 year old Toorak Toff gelding is owned by Fern Vale Farm Pty Ltd, D Logan and Rosemont Stud Pty Ltd and has had 3 starts for 1-0-0. He won at Ruakaka on 10th September and then ran 7th there in his last start on a Slow 7 track after missing the kick, racing greenly and being hampered by kick back. You could probably disregard his last start. He will appreciate the track conditions and the big roomy track. Although he has drawn a bit wide he should  finish in the first 3.
