LOGAN RACING SINGAPORE HAVE 2 STARTERS THIS WEEK

Logan Racing Singapore Preview

Logan racing will have one runner on Friday’s Singapore Turf Club card and one runner on Sunday at Kranji. Donna is hoping to see both starters turn their form around from their first up runs in Singapore. She will line up maiden galloper WHAKAARIA MAI and TWENTYSIXTWELVE who was a winner in New Zealand.

Friday 1 June 2018 R4 – No. 11 WHAKAARIA MAI – Alysha Collett The only runner for the day, WHAKAARIA MAI runs in an Open Maiden 1400m ($20,000) on the turf long course. The Showcasing 3YO made his debut in Singapore back on April 24 over 1200m, finishing 7th from a wide draw (11), he had two promising trials in Singapore prior to that. He was among the first shipment of Logan Racing runners to arrive in Singapore and was in fact the stables first ever starter in Singapore. WHAKAARIA MAI will jump from barrier seven of 14, carrying 56.5kg, where the Group 1 winning jockey and expat New Zealander, Alysha Collett takes the reigns. WHAKAARIA MAI is a very promising type of horse that Donna expects to go a much-improved race from his first start, he has naturally progressed following his first run, and he is very capable of going a bold race. He is a horse that is very capable of going through the grades in Singapore. WHAKAARIA MAI on debut:

Result - ran 11th of 12 after looming like a winner. Has pulled a shoulder muscle . Watch out for this horse next up .

Sunday 3 June 2018 R9 – No. 3 TWENTYSIXTWELVE – Alysha Collett The 4YO Pour Moi gelding is second up in the Class 4 premier 1400m ($60,000) on the turf long course. Trained by Donna and Chris in New Zealand to win 1 of his 4 starts. He was also part of the first shipment to arrive for the stable, TWENTYSIXTWELVE was slightly disappointing in his first up run (6 May), the 1200m on debut was short of his best trip and the stable expects him to improve on that effort now that he has stepped up to the 1400m. He has drawn barrier six of 13 and, will carry 57kg where Alysha Collett is also booked to ride. Donna is very happy with how he has progressed with more time in Singapore and is very confident the horse has improved well enough to suggest he is capable of going a much better race on Sunday.
