RACING PREVIEW FOR OUR FIVE RUNNERS IN SINGAPORE FRIDAY 1ST AND SUNDAY 3RD NOVEMBER
Friday 1st November
Race 2 Giant Killing starts in the Open Maiden Mile LC Turf $20k from barrier 14 ridden by Ben Thompson. He ran 3rd at his last start in a Turf Mile and will be competitive here although has a very wide draw. Hardest to beat Darling and Lord Justice. Each way bet.
Race 6 Golden Flame starts in the Class 3 Mile LC Turf $70k from barrier 5 ridden by Ben Thompson. Has had 2 recent seconds in 1400m Turf races. Class 3 can be tough but this is a small average field and he can feature. Super Dynasty and Reddot Rising look hard to beat. The interesting runner is Touch The Clouds, previously Proud Captain in Australia, who has won 4 races there in places like the Sunshine Coast on a track that is never rock hard. Although his best form is on soft and heavy tracks and in his only City outing , at Doomben, he only beat 3 home. He is definitely the one to watch.
Sunday 3rd November
Race 2 The Brotherhood starts in the Restricted Maiden 1000m Poly $75k from barrier 7 ridden by CS Chin -3kg claim. He had a nice trial win on October 3rd. There are 6 first starters with trial form which makes this race very hard to predict. Most of this lot are inexperienced . It would not be a surprise to see him run in the money but is a very risky race to bet on.
Race 4 the Maiden 1200Poly $20k sees Gamely start from barrier 1 ridden by visiting Australian Apprentice Jessica Eaton -3kg claim. He was 2nd in a 1000m Poly last start and can hopefully give Jessica her first Singapore winner. Not a strong field with hardest to beat Whistle Grand, River Happiness, My Money and Ma Bao Bao.
Race 9 the Class 3 1000 Poly $70k sees Super Posh start from barrier 14 ridden by Vlad Duric. Class 3 is tough, he had 2 wins and a second in his last 3 Class 4 starts prior to finishing unplaced last start when stepping up in Class .Very good field with the likes of Mark Walkers Red Rover who has won his last 2. Bad draw in a tough field but his work lately has been very good. Fingers crossed.
