COUNTIES PREVIEW SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER

Hi everyone

Well we have a possible 6 runners tomorrow.......

The first will be Mumm's Jewel (still on the ballot and needs a scratching), she is in lovely order and is in race 4 at 2-30. If i got picky I would say that a little moisture would be appreciated but that's not going to happen so we go anyway. She looks amazing and will jump from the 4 draw if she gets a run, working well.

The next to run is Rikki Tikki Tavi, a mare that has beaten some good horses when she is right, and SHE IS RIGHT. Unfortunately drawn the outside but some of her best wins have come from wide draws. We may have to ride her cold which is not an issue as she likes to chase. A definate EW chance in race 5 at 3-10.

Boogie Easy steps out in race 6 at 3-50 and has already gained start off the ballot. She is another Super Easy mare that will need a touch of luck but she tries her heart out and will be there abouts.

Race 7 at 4-30 gives Qiji Dancer a crack at breaking maidens, it is 1600m which will be right up her alley and even though she has drawn out a touch we feel she will be right in the finish. Definate win chance but good EW.

The last race at 5-10 gives two of our stable runners a chance to extend their winning record. Red Dynamo will prefer the good good better than Transformer so I would have to put him on top but if you watched Transformer last time, you will see that he was hard to get past. Both top chances.

Results

Race 4 Mumm's Jewel didn't have a lot of room in the end , not a bad run for 6th.

Race 5 Rikki Tikki Tavi , a huge run storming home with not a lot of room for 3rd.

Race 6 Boogie Easy, Another great run and finished 2nd. Part owners in Rarotonga would have been cheering.

Race 7 Qiji Dancer , an impressive winner . Owned half each by Qiji NZ Thoroughbred Club Ltd and Donna Logan. The Swiss Ace filly was purchased by them at the 2018 Karaka Yearling Sales from Book 3 presented by Haunui Farm Lot 1084 for $12500. Three starts for 1 win, 1 second and a fourth.  A very nice filly in the making. Picture attached. Sorry no race video available on NZTR for 3 days. Unbelievable in this day and age really.

Race 8 Red Dynamo and Transformer were disappointing. They will be thoroughly checked out on return to the Stable and the race tactics analysed.
